Well, Ford is not only redesigning the 2009 F150, but is also updating and streamlining the F150 logo for 2009.

Nice to see they moved the shifter back onto the stalk. There's something that's just not right with a truck having a shifter on the center partition.

I'd take an F150 over Titan, Tundra or Dodge myself. They are decent looking well equipped trucks but are certainly second in line behind GM trucks in my book. I actually defected and bought a Titan (kept it 4.5 months) and came right back to GMC. We all make mistakes.

My current company car is an Explorer and it has given me 112K without issues... Even if it is a FERD.

AMEN !

It must be a generational thing. Do you know how difficult it is to find a car with a column shift - automatic transmission. It ain't easy. I finally found a used Taurus wagon with column shift.

Granted, some people like a center console. Me, I like the wide open space that a non-console vehicle offers.

I'm afraid, with the advent of TV screens on the dash, the column shift will eventually disappear.

iv got to agree, fords are 2nd after GMs.I was pretty close in copping a f-150, what kept me from getting one was the sierras looks, he ex and interior. Plus here in texas everyone and their moma has one.but as far as the 09s, they look alright. the front end looks like that honda truck witch isent a good thing.

Actually, it was a trim level thing...My boss' XLT has it on the column, but the FX4 and Lariat trims have it on the floor.
