How To Disable Drls

hey guys i just got a 07 sierra and gm really messed up with the foglights.... anyways i saw Daddys mod for his truck and will be doing the same.... hids in the fogs, lows, and highs... my question is has anyone done this? also i would like to disable my drls... how can i do this... thanks guys, happy new years

Disabling the DRLs is extremely easy. If I am not mistaken pull the fuse under the hood located in slot number 32, if you do not have #32 try #33. These will be a mini-fuse, I think a 10 amp. Once this is pulled the DRLs will no longer work but the auto dusk turn-on will still work. This is what I did when installing HID on my truck and its been 3 months and no problems.

Congrats on the HID purchase, they are well worth the money. Also do not forget that there is a hidden bolt in the fender that holds the headlight assembly in. If you would like pictures showing the location and steps just PM me. Good luck.

hey thanks appreciate the info....yes the info to remove the headlight would be great... funny enough i got the same xentec kit... they make good kits...

Yep, pull the DRL fuses; just make sure you remove both (there's one for each light, or at least there was on my '07 Sierra Denali). I removed my headlight assemblies when doing my HIDs as well. Someone just posted a nice "how-to" on removing the assemblies yesterday, so it should be in the recent topics here somewhere. The only thing I would mention is that I didn't have to remove the grill to take my lights out, although it's mentioned in the "how-to."
