Yeah, Fram filters are junk.... Search the internet about them, I think most use the ac delco filters..

They are cheap because they are d**n near void of any filter media and what is there is poorly constructed. Although they do have a nice orange color and their "sure grip" (bed liner caoted material) is a good idea........

CARQUEST Premium, NAPA Gold and Wix are all the same. I would suggest one of these or an AC. There are other good filters out there, but Fram is not one of them.

The PF48 seems to be a dealer item around here... I ordered a case (12) from rockauto.com for $4.58 each plus shipping. I had a bunch of other stuff also so shipping was reasonable.

I have all Fram filters on my truck, and I find nothing wrong with them and they are just as good as the ACs I have had.

Yes as a matter of fact I have. The acs might have 10% more media, unless my eyes are going out on me, but they filter the same, and I have had oil analysis's done, and they filter out the same amount with either brand. Im cheap, so Ill be with fram.
