Wheel Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra Crew 1500 2wd and I am looking to get a set of wheels off a 2007 GMC Sierra 4x4. Does anyone one know they will fit. The bolt pattern I verified appears to be the same 6x139.7. Just wanted additional clarification.

Tires are 265/70/17 off the 2007

I currenlty have 245/70/17 on mine.

thanks for any info

Lots of people have done it. GM issues a bulletin saying it couldn't be done but I believe they were just covering themselves liability wise. As always, test fit anything you intend to use first...

One of my sales guys has a set of new style 18s on a 2004 Suburban. They look fine to me. He didn't mention any issues.

The 2WD and 4WD have not had different wheels since '99. There is a 17" steel wheel that is common to both 2006 and 2007 year models so there really is no difference. Going from 245 to 265 will make your speedo read about 2mph high.
