Extremely Dusty Box

I have on 08 Ext. cab Silverado with a Leer fiberglass topper. I need to purchase something to seal the box and the endgate. Anyone have some good tips.

If I am not mistaken there is a lower tailgate seal self adhesive flap that somebody sells just for this reason. Check truck accessory dealer websites.

 

Your best bet might be buying a bedrug. The tailgate piece is continuous with the bed piece, thus eliminating the gap, and this helps to keep the dirt and dust out.

A good tailgate gasket is the fix. Access covers sells one that works well. I'm sure many others do too. It'll get rid of a lot of your dust problem.

I did that too mine but I got the lund gasket and the bed in my truck is clean!!

I have a pretty dusty bed too. The tailgate gaskets look great.

 

How well do those tailgate gaskets hold up when your dragging stuff out of the bed, like mulch, sand, dirt, etc.

I am familiar with those and think they will work for the tailgate, but I am thinking I need more than the tailgate seal. If I stand at the rear of the truck and look into the box I can see light in the front corners of the box. Quite a bit of light also the holes that are on the underside of the box sides look as if they would run to the bottom of the box. Does anyone have a fix for these?
