2004 Silverado 1500 And Aftermarket Radio

Recommended Posts

I need some information. I have a 2004 Silverado Z71 CrewCab. I have an in dash 6CD player, Bose Speakers, OnStar and XM installed. Also, I have the rear seat radio interface and steering wheel controls. Are there any adapters that will allow me to install an aftermarket Radio and retain all the other options? I was thinking about upgrading to a NAV unit but I like the aftermarket ones better than the GM ones.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Ok lets go down the list of things you will need.

Dash Kit: Metra 95-2009

Wiring Harness: Axxess Interface (Metra) GMOS-04

Antenna Adapter: Metra 40-GM12 or 40-GM10

Steering Wheel Interface: Axxess Interface (Metra) ASWC

You will loose the rear seat entertainment and the factory XM how ever most aftermarket units are XM ready. its just a matter of purchasing the reciver to go with the head unit.
