captianmo999 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 thought this truck needed a new starter so i replaced it along with a new batt. started right up, moved the truck around parked it cleaned it. let it sit for about 4 hours. tryed to start it and it did one turn over, and lost ALL power, headlights, dashlight, taillights, everything. charged the batterey and it started right back up. had the alternator checked and its still good. what else could be the problem?
1999 Tahoe 4x4 Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I can only tell you that there is no way you can drain a fully charged battery in 4 hours without sigificant amount of heat or even fire somewhere. That means if you have not witnessed any heat, I bet you have a bad connection somewhere.
