Nbs Cargo Light

Does any one know a way to have the bed cargo light on the NBS Silverado to turn on when the interior lights come on (like when a door opens)? I hate having to manually turn on my cargo light with the dimmer. Any suggestions would be appreciative.

I hear ya! It is pretty stupid that tthe only way turn on the cargo light is to turn on the interior lights from the dimmer. Makes it harder to see what is in the bed from inside the truck when you get blinded by the freaking map lights!

 

Now for a stupid story about me, I traded in a '05 Silverado on my '07 NBS Sierra and I actually had to look at the manual to figure out how to turn on the cargo light. I looked forever on the dash for a button that turned that little thing on...

That's not as bad as sitting there for an hour wondering why the dome lights don't deactivate when ya push the button in. Even the manual isn't clear on that one... Finally found that the square looking "trim" around the button is actually the switch for that purpose... And here I thought that the only logical reason to have the button move in and out was to kill the dome lights. Guess I need a course in "new logic"....

so does any one have a way even if it involves a wiring manipulation. I am pretty comfortable with car wiring.
