Warning, Truck Broken Into!

Hi guys,

I do not post to often on this forum but here is something you should know about right away. This weekend someone used a screwdriver under the door handle of my 2007 Chevrolet Silerado and popped the door handle and opened the door. I did not notice this until a police officer showed me the place where it happened. The thief did not steel anything but my credit card information out of my wallet that I left in there while I was at the gym. I did not find out until they had put approximately 2000.00 dollars on four different cards. This is probabley my fault for leaving my wallet in the truck but the funny thing was I had 50.00 in my wallet and they did not touch it. I guess the reward was better in the end for them. Anyway just a warning, the police said all trucks including Ford and Dodge are getting hit because of the ease of getting into them.

Thanks for the info... I already knew about this issue and there are devices on ebay that you can purchase and insert into your door to help prevent this from happening. its like a piece of metal that sheilds the lcoking mechanism or something to that effect.

But they will still dent/scrape the body around the handle in the process of finding out that they can't get in (without breaking the window). To me that's worse than what they will most likely steal (about all I keep in my truck is spare change and a few CDs).
