New 20 Inch Rims

I just bought new 20 inch rims for my 2007 Silverado that originally had 18 rims on it. How do i reset the computer so my speedometer and odometer are accurate and depict my acutal speed?

I'm not a tech...but as long as the overall diameter of the tire/rim assembly doesn't change, you don't need a reprogram...

Most hand-held tuners (DiabloSport Predator, etc) can reprogram the computer for the new tire size.

The diameter of the rims has nothing at all to do with the need to reprogram the computer. The overall diameter of the tire (see BigDogg's post) does. If you don't have a hand-held tuner, you'll have to go to the dealer and have them make the change.

 

Check and compare the OD of the two different size tires first. You may be lucky and not need to reprogram.

are you selling the 18's? any pics? and a hand tuner will do the adjustment but for the price go get a full tune.
