Cheap Built Tundra's

Maybe these pics have been around for a while but I just ran accross them. Looks like their pretty weak in the frame and the seat head supports. I hope my Sierra is a little stronger than that.

Generally, yes IMO, Toy's and Niss' are cheap trucks.

But in all fairness, the conclusion that the Tundra is a cheap truck by just the two pictures does not conclude that.

Missing facts:

What vehicle hit the Tundra? Where are the pictures of the other vehicle?

How fast was that vehicle traveling?

Was the Tundra at a complete stop? With brakes applied on the Tundra?

MA=F (Mass x Acceleration = Force)

Depending on the varibles, any truck or car that interacts with that F can become F'd ("cheap").

Yes, but shouldn't that headrest (which is to prevent whiplash) stood up to whatever it was. The seat itself doesn't look broken, just the upper part where an 8 pound head was resting against.

I agree. Something hit that truck pretty hard, if someones head broke that seat, they are dead. This is also a previous generation Tundra, if anyone is wondering.

I am by no means a pro at assessing accidents this is just my guess. But it looks like whatever hit it would have to be a vehicle where the bumpers met on the high side of the tundra bumper/low side of the bumper on the the vehicle that hit the tundra. I dont think it would have been anything bigger than a pickup truck/full size van. If you look at the left side of the truck it looks like it is a little worse as far as damage especially since it looks like the tail light on the left side is smashed. But there is still a fair amount of damage on right side of the truck. I would think that if it was hit by like a ups/semi like trucks that the bed would be smashed instead of bent up or folded.

Thats just what I think, there aint no tellin!

I wasn't sure of the year as I really don't know much about the Toyota at all but I about got sick thinking about that headrest giving away and the driver probably breaking his neck. I assumed that would be about the strongest part of the seat??????????

That truck looks like it's about to hump something.

Hope the driver was ok though.

Rear-ended? What makes you assume it got rear-ended? Maybe the guy just slammed his tailgate too hard? :cool::):crackup:

First thing I thought was "Some poor Ridgeline's about to take it up the tailpipe." And there's nothing wrong with having your mind in the gutter :cool:
