Ok, I know this topic has been discussed before. I have searched the topic and im pretty sure i have read everything about HIDS. mostly everyone has agreed not to buy any kits from ebay due to the fact that they come from china. well here is a kit with the store right here in the usa. I didn't know if this made a difference. anyways all opinions are appreciated....thank you.

cant stand HID's....they blind me at night

I agree, they piss me off to. but I think they look great, however the light my be brighter but the distance the light travels is shorter then reg/stock lighting. something to consider. in response to your post its looks like a pretty good kit.

Well i don't want to be blinding people while im driving. I have heard a few people complaining about getting blinded by the hids. is that cuz its just too bright or cuz they didn't adjust the lights properly after they installed them. I have read the other threads and didn't think this was that big a problem. thats the case i will try a different type of bulb

Generally speaking, getting "blinded" by HIDs at night is because the lights are adjusted wrong. I have had HID's installed in my truck for months. The only time anyone has bright lighted me was when I went over a speed bump in a residental area and the lights came "up" and kind of "flashed" the on-coming car with the brightness. Aside from that one time, I haven't had anyone bright-light me unless I actually had my brights on.

Too bad that the few who have them put in wrong are the ones we seem to remember. In most cases that I see them deployed, I think that they ought to outlaw them.

I agree. I have seen a few that are done right. But there are SO many around here that have done a crappy job, that I don't even want to attempt it now. I have done 3 sets of the Silverstars now, and someday I will likely install them in ol' blue.

I've bought 3 $88.00 shipped japanese import sets off ebay from a U.S. seller store and have been completely satisified with them. 2 sets of 6000K and one 12000K. And they work perfect and when I installed them into my truck no further adjustment was necessary for aiming the light and they look excellent and have yet to be flashed by on coming drivers.

This stuff gets confunsing. im torn. I don't want to be causing accidents (worse case scenario), but at the same time I like the look of the hids, and the brightness. I also don't want to be buying stuff off ebay that is junk. but at the same time i don't want to spend 300.00 on lights. I guess all it comes down to is I have to man up and make a decision.

it does look like a pretty good kit. I'm with the others on this one, I also can't stand how they blind you.

Agreed!

If shooting out headlights was legal, there would be far fewer up here in mountain hill country.
