Flowmaster 1 Chamber

I'm about to replace my stock exhaust with a Flowmaster 1 chamber muffler. I had a 92 Z71 with a 5.0 TBI and the same muffler and loved the way it sounded. Now I have a 2003 K1500 with the 5.3 and I'm wondering if there would be any drawbacks to these mufflers?

It's gonna be real loud and go "pop pop pop" when yo get off of the gas. If that is what you want it to sound like, you are on the right path.

You probably won't notice any difference with just a muffler swap, do it. I swapped my stock muffler with a Dynomax Bullet, and if anything, I gained a little power. However, I have a 5.7L instead of the 5.3L, which is a completely different animal.

It will be loud, but it's not going to pop when you let off the gas. That only happens with a manual transmission, or if you manually downshift an automatic. It shouldn't be too raspy either unless he would remove the cats and/or run true duals.
