Headunit Swap Questions With Bose

I've got a 2004 with the Bose stereo. I'm thinking about doing an aftermarket headunit and was curious about what kind of adapters and such I'll need. I've got steering wheel controls and onstar (not subscribing though).

the standard adapters for the GMT800 Series trucks. I would rip out the Bose aka blows stereo and amp and replace it with something far better.
