New Truck Just Died

About a month ago I bought a leftover 2007 GMC Sierra for a screaming deal at my local dealership. I went up there to look at a used Avalanche and ended up getting the Sierra for just a little more. Everything has been fine on the truck and I have really enjoyed it up until today. With 2177 miles on the odometer the truck just died going down the road. Check engine light came on and it just shut off. It would not restart at all for the longest time and then when it finally did it idled like it was gonna explode at any moment and then shut back off. I waited a while tried it again and it started up with a weak idle but anytime I touched the gas pedal it died again. I had onstar send the tow truck and they scanned it and said fuel management fault /failure, and that I may notice hesitation or loss of power. I think thats hilarious cause the d**n thing wont run. Anyway its been towed to the dealer but it was after they closed so they wont be able to look at it till tomorrow. Anyone else have this happen? Any idea what it could be?

Well unless it's something uber simple, maybe the management for the Displacement on demand went haywire. I hope it's nothing major, but at least it did it under warranty :chevy:

Nothing, hell I havent done anything to it yet but wash it and put gas in it. Just turned 2100 miles and I was gonna change the oil when this happened.

Don't let them tell you "this is normal".

You have a fuel sending problem, most likely. I would try not to get discouraged, I bet once this gets fixed, you will have many trouble free miles.

Techs say that its the Fuel Pressure/System Module whatever that is. Didnt have it in stock, gonna have it and hopefully have it fixed tomorrow. As of now I am in a renter Cobalt. Anyone else have this problem?
