the other night my 99 denali started shifting pretty hard. i got it home and checked the fluid but that was okay and the tranny is only a couple of years old. i've driven a few times since and havent noticed it. what could be the problem?? torque converter... can anyone help thanks

Hard shifting usually means it has gone into limp mode at some point and the computer is boosting line pressure to "get you home" so to speak. You probably have a code set in the computer. Pull the code o go to Autozone and have them scan and tell us if you have a code. If it is an intermittent problem, it will go back to shifting normally. You really need to pull the code to have a clue though.
