Cb Hookup Help

Hey everyone,

 

I have an 02 Chevy S10 and just got a new Cobra CB. I have hooked up previous CBs just by using the cigarette lighter mehtod, BUT this time I wanna hook it up differently. I have heard you can do it thru the fuse box. I would love it if there was some way I could hook it up so that it will turn off when i turn the truck off. I'mnot afraid to take the dash apart or anything so please any help or advice would be awesome!

what u need to do is basically run your power wire from the cb down to the fuse box area if it has a cig lighter plug on the end go to ur autoparts store and get a cit lighter add on kit, so it will have a plug to plug it into then give you 2 wires a hot and a ground. hook the ground wire to a metal bolt under the dash somewhere for ground, then get a fuse tap and tap into one of the ignition controlled fuses
