I mounted mine on the back of the cab behind the right rear seat as close to the floor as i could. I cut out the insulation and the liner to mount directly to the metal.

is it a single sheet there, or is it double layer? i dont want to mount with the possibility of puncturing the body metal.

with the bottom of the seats folding up, instead of the top folding down, how did you get behind the seat?

I took the seat out. screwed right through the back of the cab. I did put a piece of insulation between the amp and the cab for road noise deadening

so there are 4 bolts hanging out the back of your cab? are the seats hard to pull out? havent looked at the back seats yet

yep you could hang a coat on them if you took the bed off. just a few bolts on the seat. I only removed the right rear seat.

You may also be able to place it under your front passenger seat. I have an 07 extended cab and the driver side is automatic but since the passenger side is manual there was plenty and some clearance to place my Audison amp under it. I didnt want to screw through the cab if i didnt have to.

thanks for your response. i actually removed the rear seats and fabricated a bracket so that i could attach the amp behind the seat back, without going through the cab. it turned out well, and is in a place that it wont get hit, but i can still replace the fuses or adjust the controls if need be, without removing the seat

no, i knew i should have, but i was going full steam. there are a handful of studs behind the insulation against the rear cab wall. i bent out a sheet of steel as a standoff, to anchor the amp to. worked well, but no pictures sorry.

Thanks for the tip, I probably would've overlooked that. Maybe I'll rember to take pics.
