Not Bad For 8 Years And 75k Miles

OK, so this is my second Burb. First was a '93 1/2 ton with every option and the heaviest tow package available at the time. put over 90K miles on it, pulling RVs, racecar trailers and other stuff....

In 2000 bought a new 1/2 ton Burb with all options including a 8800# tow package with 4:10 gears.

~75K miles later pulling a near 8,000# RV, enclosed racecar trailer, flat towing a race car, and lots of other stuff. It is still going strong.

Run a single in/out Magnaflow, modified air intake and lots of TLC to keep it moving.

So far, no failures of any suspension, engine or trans related items....

Would love a new Burb, but having a hard time swallowing the $50K price tag for a fully loaded version, like we have now :D .

Daniel, good to hear.

I will be hitching mine to my camper this Friday for our first trip of the year.

My Yuk XL just rolled 60K but has not seen as much towing as your Burb has. At least not yet. :D

You don't need a new Burb! The one you have is awesome! Keep the one you have and use your money to go on a nice vacation.

My Truck still has 150,000 + KMs on it and she's still running strong!!!

Trey, have you had problems with your Air Ride bags? I have gone thru 2 on the passenger side....even with two heat shields in place, I think the heat from the exhaust is causing them to fail.

Keep your present truck, and your money in your pocket. There really is no technology advantage in a new one compared to what you have, that justifies the money.

:) I still have an '01 Tahoe that same color, just rolled 60K. The late '00/'01 SUVs are some great rigs, from what I have read, I know mine sure has been. I have pulled a lot of things I shouldn't have :) It has been trouble free, other than an EGR valve, and the 4wd switch on the dash, both failed within a week recently. Glad to see you getting the life out of yours too! Right on!
