Next Rim Qustion Rim Painting

because rims i got for free dident fit i wanna make my rims stand out some.

 

 

so i was thinking to make the plain rally rims look better to paint the inserts red ,and the rim its self white and paint center cap red and put red and black chevy bow tie logos on center caps .

 

what do you guys think these are the rims or leave center cap black or do a reverse on rims do inserts white rims red what do you guys think ? post-46156-1206915605_thumb.jpg

Personally, I would not paint the caps and the flat portions of the rim different colors, it would look very strange, IMO. The only things you could get away with would be painting the dish portion black and leaving the rim the way it is or painting the entire rim black.

 

When you start down the path of painting your rims, especially red, you take the chance of things looking even worse than before.

 

The only place this would look right is...

:banghead: Daddy, you HAVE to photochop that with some 24's on it and change the name on the side to "Steve's Truck" (My07Silvy). :D

ok heres what i ended up doing sorry for glare did inserts red and left rim silver with black center caps post-46156-1206921551_thumb.jpg

We need a better picture. It's hard to tell what's going on there.

well not really inserts but the openings i painted the lip behind them and yeah they are the covers hubby cap the nut pinches a metal tab to hold it onto rim sorry illget better pic tomarrow i tryed to take it inside and silver rim plus flash not good

Oh, you painted the barrel of the wheel. That's different.
