Bought A New Tahoe

Hey guys...sorry I haven't posted in a while. I just bought an 08 Tahoe, and sadly sold my Silverado. I needed something with more interior room. Anyway, I've got a bunch of parts left over from my Silverado. I posted some overall pics to showcase the parts, but I can e-mail more pics on request. Most of the prices are flexible, so make me an offer. Thanks for looking...I'll post some picks of my new Tahoe shortly, once it stops raining...

1) OEM Silverado SS 20" painted wheels, with Pirelli Scorpion ATR 275/55/R20's. I think the wheels came off a 2003, but I can't confirm actual mileage. They have some marks, but are in good shape...the tires are almost new, plenty of tread left! $1200 or B/O (these will have to be local pickup...these suckers are heavy)

2) OEM Tahoe chrome grille...fits 99-02 Silverado. Includes OEM bowtie, unpainted. It has normal wear marks, but in great shape. $80 plus shipping (this item may be too big to ship, but I can get a shipping quote on request)

3) Sport Master black vinyl tonneau cover...fits 99-02 sportside bed (soft snap on cover). It has normal wear, but the vinyl has been well maintained. $80 plus shipping (this item may be too big to ship, but I can get a shipping quote on request)

4) OEM bowtie for 99-02 front grille. It has been professionally painted Onyx black and clear coated. $20 plus shipping

5) Hypertech Power Programmer III part# 30012. Works with 2002 Silverado 1500 5.3L, not sure if it works with any others. Used...but ready to go. $250 plus shipping

6) XM Commander. Used kit, but all the parts are there in original box. $40 plus shipping

7) OEM small overhead console for 99-02 Tahoe or Silverado. Color is dark pewter...it comes with maps lights and blank panel (no pocket). $40 plus shipping

8) Iggee vinyl seat covers...fits front seats (not captain's chairs). They are two-tone...black sides with charcoal center and embroidered bowtie. Included is 2 seat bottoms, 2 seat backs, and 2 headrest covers. They are in great shape, but there is a small tear in drivers seat bottom. I included an eBay auction for more details/pics. $80 plus shipping

9) OEM console organizer for 99-02 Tahoe or Silverado floor console. It has 2 compartments for CD's, etc. $20 plus shipping

10) Bully pop up tie-downs for stake pockets. Black plastic base with chrome pop-up rings...includes all 4. $20 plus shipping

11) Bully locking tailgate bezel kit or 99-02 Silverado. Opened, but never installed (all parts included)...black plastic. $15 plus shipping

12) Proclip 3G 20 gig iPod holder for 99-02 Silverado dashboard. $40 plus shipping

13) OEM black plastic bed rail covers for 99-02 sportside bed. I have the driver's side and the tailgate rail covers...the driver's rail is probably too long for shipping. $40 each plus shipping

    • Yes, and also pulling heavy trailers or a large camper up steep grades as well as descending grades such as the more rustic off road camping locations and using engine braking with that low gearing as well as soft ground can just suck the power . I realize pickups these days tend to have an over all lower first gear ratio compared to automatic transmission pickups from years back so that has helped a lot in its ability in high range but there comes a point if in four wheel drive the torque runs out at the wheels, certainly with a gas engine. They don't put two speed transfer cases on pickups for a cool factor, they have a function if one needs that massive torque to the wheels that high range can't deliver.
    • Notes 7/18/2026   3,400 miles on this batch of Mobil 1 Euro 5W40 since the GDI pump replacement. Alcohol runs very clean when ring seal is tight and the sump isn't getting hosed with fuel. Checked oil level at fill up today as is my practice and grabbed a white Kleenex to look at the color. What color?  I was going to change it but.....
    • 4 low is really nice on steep boat ramps.
    • Interesting, I suspect I would have fueled up in Lee Vining as the day prior I would have filled up either in Laughlin or near there and maybe again before I entered Death Valley and once out the other side late that evening as I kept on driving into the night up near Lee Vining. Next morning I most likely fueled up in LV before heading over Tioga Pass into ( as I refer to it as "Yose .... Mite" 😁 ). And again that was 19 years ago but the price then must not have jumped out at me like the 5 bill a gallon theme of nutty cult hippy country Big Sir or head so far up their rear Aspen. I'd be curious to know where the highest prices are in the lower 48, I probably would not be far off to guess somewhere in Cali forn ie. Coldfoot and Prudhoe bay may have those prices beat but that is a whole other world up there and when prices are more normal elsewhere that is about what they can be up there I believe in no mans land. Anyway interesting that the 395 corridor is hosing people and the thing is, its tourist season and its not like there are a lot of competition options when driving up that highway from what I could see. Yup, big ole Boaterhomes and various other RV's ahead and behind me at the Yosemite entrance gate and they have to get their fuel somewhere.
    • Those can be high, as well as the big California cities. The ones that will pop your eyes out are the 395 corridor on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas. Lee Vining, $7.19 for regular and $8.89 for diesel is what the Google said right now.
