welp I'm a smoker and been thinking of getting some window visors to prevent rain from coming in wile I'm smoking.. iv seen a few brands but they look fugly.. from the rear you can see them stickin out and it looks tacky. the other day thumbing threw an auto mag. I saw an advertisement for weathertechs mats and window visors. they look like a custom low pro fit. looks as if it rolls off the window.

I was wondering if anyone had these and if pics could be posted. if there are anyother recommendations I'm all ears..

I was looking at those also, it says they fit into the channel and don't have to be taped on. i have the weathertech floor liners and they are excellent.

I had them and didn't like them. They loosened up after a short time. The initial fit is pretty good and I liked not having to use tape, but after a while they get loose in the channels and kind of wiggle around. I have the Weathertech floor liners and love them so I thought that the visors would be a no brainer. Sent them back. Maybe it was just me? Good luck whatever you decide. :banghead:

I went with the EGR brand in August. Just like the weather techs but a little cheaper, I’m happy with them.

I have had the Weathertech visors on 4 of my vehicles and currently on my 08 Silverado Ext. Cab. They all have fit perfect for me and have never gotten loose. I would recommend them. I don't have any pics with me. I will take some when I get home. I also have the floor liners. I would not use any other mat in my truck.

I have the in channel ones from Vent Shade and they do not stick out nearly as far as the external stick on ones. IMO, they look better and they claim to create less wind noise.

Mine have been on for 2 years and they have not moved nor are they loose in anyway.

Just follow the instructions to the letter and you should have no issue.

I've had the weathertech visors on my 02 since it was new and trust me they will loosen up and rattle when the window is cracked after they've been installed for a while.

I have the weathertech visors on my 03 suburban, they have been on for 5 years. They still fit nice and tight with no rattle when the windows are open. They are low profile, very sturdy and great looking. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have the EGR in channels as well. Been in for about 6 months. So far, they have been excellent. TIght Fit, no movement and look good.

I don't like the bulging ones either. I recommend them.

EDIT: Sig Pic taken pre-EGRs :banghead:

As long as you leave your windows up all the time (or at least most of the time) they will be great. I have had mine for 8 years and until I lost the a/c idler one summer and sent the window up and down to and from work and all the other times they were tight, but now they will rattle when you have the window down but if it bothers me to much I just pull the drivers side out and put it in the back until I stop and put the window back up.

god deal. thanks guy for all of the input. wouldent removing the visor then we applying it tightin it back it to its original fit? I'm sure it won't be that big of deal.. I was mainly worried about the tackyness.

Thanks for the clarification on following the directions(ha ha.) On my 04, the rears did not fit particularly well. The fronts fit well, just seemed to loosen up over time with the windows going up and down. The front part of the visor near the leading edge(closest to the mirror) would "pop" out of the channel occasionally. Not a huge deal. The fronts don't use any hardware, but the rears use some type of clip to help hold them in.
