Texas Auto Tops says that they can do this install for me....it would resemble this install:

(inside)

They say that they would do it for around 1395.00 to 1700.00 (depends on the options that I have on the roof - I have none that would interfere).

Truckin did this observation while this was being installed....

Opinions please (Not meant to be a 'should I put it' discussion, more of 'if not this one, then which one'...)

sorry, didnt code it right

Looks really cool. If that's your thing I say go for it. In Texas I'm not a sunroof guy simply because they are so hot in our Nuclear Summers.

This one is cheaper.

On a serious note:

That's one big ass moon roof. I'd say go for it if you like it but I'd also ask if you really need on quite so large? Seems very expensive.

Have you ever had a moon roof/sun roof on your vehicles? Maybe you should test drive the Pontiac Aztek with there big moon roof and see if it makes a lot of noise or whatever to make sure you are going to like it. I know that the aztec is a lot different I was just trying to make a helpful sudjestion

any moon roof that I want (inbuilt or sport slider) is gonna cost close to $1100.00. that is why I was asking for suggestions...I am also considering Classic Soft Trim doing it (they have a long standing reputation with dealerships)

my sister did have the astek (pontiac i think) and that truck/suv/car sucked on everything. the reason I ask about a moon roof/sunroof is because I was in a SRX with the ultraview this weekend (yesterday) and that was an interesting experience of open spaceness. (or maybe I should buy a Sky Redline )

Mike,We use Classic Soft Trim up here for sunroofs, vinyl tops on Cadillac's,and leather seating upgrades.

We've never had any issues at all with any of their installations,I'd highly recommend them

I believe Classic Soft Trim still has a location in Austin, Mike. They do sell quality stuff. The company you are talking about has a good rep as well. I still say HEAT is going to be your biggest enemy.

true....yeah they have a location within 8 blocks of my apartment...heat is always gonna be a problem (take a trip to west texas say in the Midland Odessa area)....

I think it would look great and be a lot of fun to have on those long drives out to the lake at night... woo hoo!

now that is the evil clown that I am talking about.....the 07 colorado had the sport spoiler sunroof installed by Classic Soft Trim for Henna, but the problem was I think it was too small for that truck.....that is why I want something bigger (than the 07 Colorado Crew) cause that sunroof is really just a small hole that does not extend past the headrests on the driver and passenger seats
