Turning Tortion Bars, Help

Okay is it possible just to turn the bars i have now and go up only .5"? How much worse will just that little make my ride.

 

People talk about new turn keys. What are those?

 

How many turns equal in inch on this truck do we know

i put new keys in mine. ended up replacing $380. in front end parts. i took them out put my old keys back in cranked them about half way . had it aligned and called it a day rides great no problems my advise dont buy the keys ive still got mine. ive heard 1 turn is 1/4" if you do some research online youll find pics and info.

i just got mine done about a month ago on 04 gmc sierra crew cab z71 (half ton) and i got it where i wanted it the front just a lil higher than the back. just crank the torsion bars and get it allined mine are almost all the way up and rides like it did b4...pretty good not much difference besides the physical appreance of it.

2 turns should get you .5 in. atleast it did on my truck and my dads.

Turn the torsion bar bolts clockwise to raise

Counterclockwise to lower.

 

Jack up front of truck to take the weight off the front

wheels to make it easier to turn bolts.

Mark bolts, crosmember and remember the amount of turns

incase you screw up or want to return to stock position....................
