Enable Tpm System For 2006 Silverado

Question

Posted

I realize from everything I've read that most people want to dissable the TPM system, but I want to do the opposite. I'd like to set up the TPM system on a 2006 Silverado.

This is an LT model, with all the bells and whistles, including the DIC and steering wheel controls. From everything I've read, my guess is that I just need the PDM reprogramed to activate the TPM system, and then install the necessary sensors in my wheels.

I believe the dealer should be able to activate the TPM system and set it to monitor for the correct tire pressure. My only other concern it getting the correct sensors.

If anyone had any experience with doing this please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
