Nav In A Equinox

I am looking to put a factory navigation unit in my wife's 08 Equinox. I have been looking around and have not seen anyone attempt it. The dealer told me that I cannot do it. Big supprise from those guys. I was told the same thing about my Sierra. I have a factory nav in it too. So can it be done?

i briefly was looking into purchasing an equinox, and at the time i was looking at (2) 2008 equinox ss's and one had a factory NAV, the other didnt. so yes its possible.

I know its possible, however I do not know if I purchase a NAV unit for a Tahoe or other body style if it will work in my wife's Equinox. Basically I need to know if the PCM speaks the same language as the sierra, tahoe etc. I am not sure since its not a full sized SUV, perhaps it speeks a different language and will not talk to a nav unit from a truck or full sized SUV. I dont want to wast my money trying to buy one and not have it work.
