Incomplete Tool "sets"

I just bought a AC R134 manifold guage set....without a can tap!!! whats the point if I can't refill with the "set"? It has the yellow recharge hose but no cap tap/valve! I'm taking it back tomorrow. Hope they take it back, opened but not used. I gotta buy the tap for 12 buck, when for 15 I can buy interdynamic can tap/low side guage, which is all you really need anyway!

 

but it goes on....few hex sets have a 9MM, that one size you need in a wrech set always seems to be the one that's missing....anyone else tired of these worthless "sets"?

I rarely, if ever, buy any tool as part of a "set". You never get what you need/want that way.

 

Except for wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers of course. Pretty universal on those...And screwdrivers...Well...They're pretty much disposable items in the toolbox anyway. I go through them faster than any other tool. Good thing they're cheap.
