Just hit love bug season here and need to get some protection for the hood and what not. I saw at the dealership that they have like a 3M plastic coating on the front of the hood on a few vehicles. I was wondering if anyone had this, any bad reviews, or any other options.

I don't have it but i've heard good and bad reviews about it but the only bad review i heard was the person who installed it got strands of hair caught all in the tape....but yea i go to school at LSU and I just came back home to Shreveport today. It was raining lovebugs the whole way... I was prepared though, last night i bought a roll of blue painters tape and taped up the whole front end. It worked perfectly! :lol:

You taped the front end of your truck, drove it that way, and then removed that tape afterward?

Dude, take my word for it. It is alot better than trying to wash off all of those bugs.

I have the 3M Scotchguard clear bra on both of our vehicles. It is FANTASTIC stuff IMO. Already saved me from several rock chips. Hardly noticeable either.
