A/c Problems Ugh!

I have a 97 Sonoma and the a/c system is acting a little funny. The blower goes on and off at will. The a/c compressor still stays on, and cools. I replaced the blower and that seems to have fixed the problem of the blower going on and off at will. However the air is still being directed to other places than what is selected. Lots of cool air comes out of the defroster but not much out the vents.

 

 

Anyone have a similar problem?

Not sure on the Sonoma, but sounds like a vacuum problem. 11 years, sure could be a bad vacuum hose.

yea my thought too. However I do not see any small vac lines anywhere. Looks to be electrical. Not sure though any one here got experience with this type of problem?

Not necessarily a small vacuum line, could be a vacuum leak anywhere.
