Heated Seats?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, happy Friday, woo hoo! :D

I was just looking throught the GM Accessories site (dreaming of what I want, you know how it is!) and I came across someting I have not seen before, and something that made me very happy, and curious?

Its a Heated Seat kit (Pt#: 17803282)

I was wondering, could this be even possible for my truck? Is it easy?

I am sure you guys that work at dealers could be a big help. :puke:

Thanks ahead of time, have a good one!

PS: Truck is a 2007 Silverado LT (might be in my sig too?)

I know how you can get real easy heated seats!!!! Get 2 postive 12 v wires and lay them on top of eachother and let them arc until theres a fire, then you will have a whole vehicle heating system, and heated seats :puke::D:lol::):puke::D:fume::M16:

Im not sure, if you have leather seats i would imagine you can add the heated seats, and I guess you could to cloth too, but idn how well it would work.

As an added bonus, the procedure you described is also the only known way to remove lint from the cloth seats

Seriously, the kit does work for cloth seats and it looks like the switches mount in the holes on either site of the HVAC controls at least on the WT dash. I would consider it, but I live in a state that never gets cold

True, but maybe you should inquire about getting seat bottoms that double as flotation devices like airplanes have. Might come in handy when California becomes The California Sea and Nevada becomes a coastal state. :D

Something to call up GM and complain about? A "boat" is legally supposed to come with them right? :puke:

Thanks for the replies guys.

It feels pretty funny to be talking about heated seats with the weather warming up, but I had to ask.

Cooled seats would be nice

Floatation devices in the seats would work great too, lol

And no, I do not want to see anybodys "swass" (sweaty ass)

So do you think I could do the install myself?

Oh, and I might just take you up on lighting the seats on fire, like Ed said, might get rid of all that unsightly lint! :tear:

I have an idea for cooled seats and it would not be hard at all. Get a water cooler for a CPU and run the tubing in the seat. Don't have to worry about the contact pad for the processor just restrict the flow of the water enough to keep the circulation slow enough to collect the heat from the seat.

That would be cool if could get that to work for cheap would love to cool my seats seeing as I spend more time driving in the summer then I do in the Winter.
