i need help my fuel gage goes from full to empty all the time. is it just a sensor or is there a bigger problem?

well, you do drive a truck . mine does the same thing. repairs average about 80 bucks every 8 days or so

My fuel guage goes to empty, when I top off, the fuel. I'm not ready to fix this yet, so when it does this, shake the truck, back and forth, and the gauge works again. I know "oakie advise" but it works for me! Otherwise, replace you fuel sender/fuel pump, at once, for $$$$.
