i have an 07 sierra classic rcsb with the factory chrome wheels and i cant stand the tires. i have just under 15000 miles on the truck and i have already put 3 plugs in my tires. i didnt really like goodyear tires before i got the truck and now its official. i know its probably just personal preference but i have always had good luck with michelins on my other trucks. anyone else with this problem?

Sure, just check out the reviews on tirerack.com. Or I could ask any GM service department or tire shop around here, and they'll tell ya the same thing. They normally wait until ya ditch the goodyears to mention how much they suck though. :D

It's probably one of the cheapest (price & quality) tires GM could put on their vehicles, so that's what ya get! If you do anything beyond driving like grandma on sunny days, I'd upgrade ASAP. For a street or all-season tire, I've always had great luck with the Michelin's. Got the LTX M/S's right now, love 'em.

Well if you have to put plugs in your tires, that means you got a nail, screw,or some other foreign object that put a hole in your tire,Thats not the tire manufacturers fault, any brand tire can get a hole in it if you run over something.

I agree!

That's true, can't really blame the tire on a nail. But I used to get nails in my BFG's all the time and NEVER had to plug 'em. Just left the nail or pulled it, and that sucker would practically fix itself. Even the tire shop was surprised.

Sure, different type of tire, but still not a fan of the goodyears though!

12,000 miles on my OEM Goodyears. Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues yet. I have heard of other people whose Goodyear STs haven't made it to 20,000 miles without major issues, plugs included.

Goodyear ST = Sh!t Tire?

i agree i must have drove over something but i dont even take this truck to work and my other truck has never had a problem on a construction site with my michelins so i think its the shit tires

If you are complaining about Goodyears, you obviously never owned a pre- 07 2WD truck with OEM Generals. Do a search and find out what crappy tires really are.
