I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE PROCEDURE IN CHANGING THE DRIER MYSELF. I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE TO FIRST DISCHARGE THE SYSTEM BEFORE YOU CAN MOVE FORWARD. IS THIS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE AT HOME AND IF SO, WHAT WOULD BE THE NEXT STEP IN GETTING STARTED. I DO HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH WORKING ON VEHICLES JUST NOT THE A/C. I AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE.

Can't help you with your problem, but for future reference, typing in caps is the equivalent of yelling in nettiquette. Not trying to be rude or anything just informing you.

what up gil, yes it can be done at home. locate the port(S) where you connect up your AC guage to, there will be a schrader valve( similar to a tire stem valve) in it. Use a screw driver to let the pressure out. When you get done, it would be good to find yourself a Vaccumm pump to clear out the system for the new freon.

OR you could buy 2 new cans from a auto parts store. Charge it up with the first can/ let the pressure back out/ and finally fill it up with the last can with the AC blower on full, engine running charge it up to 40-45 PSI.

we ll just keep the dumping freon all a secret!!!
