Grease?

I put new wheels on my 2001 Sierra. When I took the old wheels off I noticed a unusually massive glob of grease sitting on both the front end links, at the top near the caliper.

 

Is it supposed to be that way?

 

did someone over grease?

do you take it in to do your oil changes or do you do them yourself? if you take them in chances are they used an air powered greese gun and those will shoot greese out every time you take it off the nipple. had it happen to mine when i got the free delership oil change done then took it back for them to clean them and all the greese they got in my rims.

Just got the truck... no oil changes yet.

 

They guy I got it from has a jiffy lube sticker in the window.. (i know the horror stories from there)

 

So I assume JL did the oil changes
