Plug Wires/coil

Greetings,

 

I want to change my spark plugs and wires, but the parts stores ask what coil I have because there are different wires available. I see no numbers anywhere.

 

How do I find out which coil I have?

Open the hood and try looking at the # stamped on the coil itself....that should determine which wire set you need.

That was the problem, I can't seen any numbers. I see the plug wires come in two lengths. I have 10.5 inch wires, so I called the GM dealer and it appears based on length differences, I have the Mitsubishi or Metco (sp) coil.
