Hey all ,

Im new to this fourm , and new to the Gm world.

A few months back i purchased a 08 Sierra 1500 Ext Cab. And a week ago , i tried a radar detector , and put its power cable into the power supply (ciggeret burner) under the A/c controls. Didnt work, figured out that it spoilt the power supply fuse, because i tried other things after it , like phone charger, ipod , and nothing worked.

2 days ago , i installed new 22' Rims & I kept getting error that i have to check the tire pressure system.

I know i had to get it reprogrammed to the new rims and size and pressure. Took it to a shop, and the programmer didn't work , he told me there isn't any electricity to it. And said that its fuse is bust.

Is it possible that the trucks computer fuse bust too?

Everything else in the car works thou. Dashboard screen works , all info on it work too.

Thanks for the help & sorry for the newbie questions. Spent many years driving Japanese 4x4's.

The tire shop that installed your dubs should have put the tire pressure sensors onto the new wheels. If they did and they were damaged in the process, they owe you new sensors.

As for the cigarette lighter, look in the owners manual and look up "Fuses" in the index. Flip to the right page and it should show a diagram of all the fuses or a list of their exact locations. It should also have a description as to what each fuse is for so you shouldn't have any trouble finding the right one.

Did you replace the fuse for your accessory sockets before you tried reprogramming your TPMS? I know in the 800 series the OBD power is on the same circuit as the cigarette lighter and it could be similiar in your truck. Just replace the blown fuse and everything should be fine.
