I have a 1997 Silverado. Turn signals work great until brakes are pressed or the headlights are turned on. Also, when troubleshooting, I noticed the rear lights flash dim when hazards are engaged. I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. Have already replaced the headlight switch and the brake switch and the headlight dimmer switch but the problem continues. I'd appreciate any ideas as my inspection has already expired.

Check the bulb holders in your taillights. They dry-rot and crack over time and can cause problems like you're describing.
