Well everyone, I am sitting here at 4:30pm on Sunday and am still hungover from last night, so bear with me. Some of you saw my post/pics of last year's river party (www.garysnextparty.com) and yesterday was this year's event. Unfortunately, this is only a tiny sample of the fun we had. These pics were taken from my boat and I did not want to carry it with me as there is a strong likelyhood of falling into the water while drunk and stepping from swim platform to swim platform while "cruising". But let me tell you, I WISH I had it to show you all what was going on inside that boat. :( Also, the party was smaller this year, but much wilder. The beads were actually earned this year. And yes, even my wife and her friend earned theirs. No pics of this though, sorry.

Go there about 4:00pm and left about midnight, right after the fireworks display right over our heads. Spent fireworks debris was landing on us.

The worst part was getting back to the landing. I have only night-boated a couple of times and never before on a river. Didn't think that one through, we weren't planning on staying that late, but you know how that goes. :D Well, my boat does not have a searchlight on it and I had to go about 20 miles downriver from Hudson, Wi to Hastings, MN to get to my landing. This meant navigating through several no-wake zones, sand bars marked with red and green buoys (channel markers), etc in the complete blackness of night, no moon last night!!! The buoys were imposible to see. So, I went about 3 MPH until I finally got behind a big boat with a searchlight and followed him. It was 1:00am and were all drunk/tired. It was not the highlight of the night. :P

Anyway, enjoy the pics. Like I said, this is only a tiny sample and I wish I had more/better ones. It was a BLAST!!!

I will be watching his website and will follow up with more links to his pics and videos of this party. I am sure they will be far better than the ones I took. Though he does not post the topless ones on his website. And yes, he did get a shot of my wife earning her beads. :( But that will not be posted, by me or anyone else. Sorry, divorce is too expensive.

It sucks wasting a good buzz when you have to concentrate so much!

You are looking entirely the wrong direction! :(

Looks like a good time.

Not true, there was plenty of scenery in every direction.

Now, on a more somber note, while heading north from Hastings to Hudson yesterday on the way to the party, we saw at least a dozen police/sheriffs/DNR patrol boats slowing everyone down in a non-no wake zone which I thought was odd. Just got done watching the news and it turns out there was a search being conducted for a drowning victim. Her body was found today about noon. She was swimming in the river from a beach a few miles south of Hudson and the current/wind dragged out and she drowned and her 2 daughters had to be rescued and nearly drowned also. Kinda eery to think she was down there both on the way to and also on the way home last night.

Yep, love is grand but divorce is $100+ grand. Any closer photos of the chick in orange and black? Wow, I'd would sure love to butter those muffins! Now, how did she manage to steal one of your beads, Jeff? Beer and babes are a great combo on a holiday weekend. :D

Rest assured, when Gary gets his site updated with pics/videos, there WILL be plenty more of her. She was one of the top 5 there and she was a "Girl's Gone Wild" candidate. :(

Started when I go to store in morning to get my morning coffee before work leave truck running get back in put it in drive/ rev no movement step on gas a little slams into gear. Put in neutral step on gas little shake then put in gear and gose.  Shut truck off start .. ok now at stop light stop truck after a few seconds feel a little kick if that doesn’t happen stuck in 3/4 gear shut truck off wait few seconds and start usually ok again. If you down shift manually ok as long as you get into 1st before stop. If not it kicks . I WANT A NEW TRANSMISSION. Now I want a new truck it just hit 80,000 IDK IF ILL BUY CHEVY CAUSE THEY STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AND REFUSE TO RECALL . Oh I’ve changed the fluid and filter 3 times now. And yes used mobile 1 not ac/delco cause it’s not meeting the requirements that mobile is did use ac/delco filter

    • While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.
