The Mods Have Started...

The UPS man brought my 20-inch factory take-offs today. Slapped them puppies on this morning (82 lbs each!!!). Installed the Access Literider tonneau cover on Saturday. I'll be adding the Hypertech Max Energy tune this evening. This afternoon I ordered the tailgate lock, fitted front floor mats, center console organizer and rear fender liners from GMPartsDirect accessories. I know I need to do something about leveling. Not sure if I want to raise the front or drop the rear. Leaning towards dropping the rear with a shackle kit.

How much did u get the rims for? Nice mods you got there for your truck. I think it would be better if u went with a custom tune than a programmer, if u want to see more power out of your truck.

Nice ride, looks good. Dan has a good point if you are gonna run 20"s, drop in some shackles

Good looking truck.

If you get the shackles, make sure the bushings are not the polyurethane bushings, or they have the graphite infused.

I have the djm shackles with polyurethane bushings and they squeak like crazy. I've tried everything to get them to stop.

I've been tempted to find a different brand of shackles that either have rubber bushings, or get new bushings with the graphite in them.

Looks great. I agree that shackles are the way to go. I love mine. I used Belltech shackles with the red urethane bushings and they have never made a sound.

Same here, no real squeaks from my belltechs either

+2 You'll like that Access tonneau bedcover. :)

Hmm, sounds like I need to look at the Belltechs. Any suggestion on a vendor?

Forgot to mention, I also had the front windows tinted to match the back windows.

I've had an Access Literider tonneau on my last 3 trucks... couldn't imagine doing without one now!

I paid $1,425 shipped for the take-offs.

I'm still considering the custom tune, though right now I'm mainly concerned with correcting the speedo. Figure I'll try out the Hypertech for a few weeks first...
