I know this question may have been asked, I promise to remove this thread when done, but I am leaving out of town this weekend, and last week my kids lost the 2008 gm nav disk I just bought not to long ago :D I really dont want to have to spend another 200.00 or so dollars, is there anyone who can email me the file, and tell me what program and how to burn it, I have a 2004 Cadillac Escalade, I appreciate any help I can get, thanks everyone!

First, welcome to GM-Trucks.com! :D

Regarding the NAV disk, good luck. You can check out GM Nav DVD website at:

https://www.gmnavdisc.com/overview.do;jsess...411D322AAE4CD98

You should be entitled to '2' free upgrade DVD's, however, I ordered one (as my truck did not come with the DVD....long story) but it's on back-order.

You can download an ISO image from the internet, but not easy to actually get working in the NAV units (I've tried....lots of coasters made).

Run a search on this forum, plenty of info available on this topic.

Coasters suck....lol

Eh...CDs are cheap coasters. They cost like what? 20 cents when you buy them in a spindle of 100? DVDs are more expensive, I haven't priced them, but I would guess they wouldn't cost more than like 50 cents a pop. When you look at actual coasters though, you buy a set of four for like three bucks?

And on hardwood, they really don't suck. :D

Yes, I know what you meant, I was just giving you a hard time.

Yeah it's all good, but those dual layers are a pain. Take so long to burn just to be messed up, that will get ya.

ive got a new disk thanks to members on here!

New to this site. I just recently purchase a 2005 Yukon XL Denali and it didn't come with a Nav Disc. Can someone please help. I would love to use the Nav feature, but $200 for a Nav Disc isn't in my budget. Can some please help or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I just bought a 2006 GMC Denali with the Nav. It still has the 2006 DVD in it...I want to upgrade DVD's to the 2008 one...Does anyone know of any out there I could buy at a cheaper price then $200

I would even take the 2007..does not matter to me.

Thanks in advance - Steve

I'm in the same boat, I got a 2005 Cadillac Escallade ESV in my divorce, and can barely afford to put gas in it, much less throw away $200 for a new navigation dvd! Anyone point me to the link to download the most recent release? I think mine is still using 1.0 or something. What's a girl to do?! *haha* Thanks guys in advance.

Give them a call. Owners get 3 free upgrades. New updated DVD's are released every year in October.

My 'free upgrade' has been on back-order since early July....hopefully you'll have better luck.

I just got the new updated nav disk for my 08 GMC from a seller on ebay for $99.00. It arrived in the original unopened package. Update went smooth. There is a new menu selection to turn off the limited features while driving. But still can't enter address while moving.

The nag screen isn't popping up as of yet.
