post-46410-1217430906_thumb.jpgHey all I was considering on getting one of these, Edge Evolution Programmer but was curious if any has one or knows anything about them, weather they are worth the money or not. They look nice but not sure how good they work, if anyone can shed some light on these I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks

I had one. I sold it.

it was "ok", but it didn't do what I wanted it to do, which was to remove the TM/Nannies. It firmed up the shifts somewhat and added some power, but did nothing for the lack of throttle response in these trucks.

Get a custom tune. Money will be much better spent.

Call Justin at Blackbear. www.blackbearperformance.com or PM him here, his username is ".justin." (with the dots).

I just got one last week. It does firm the shifts up and feels better plus you can tell when it switches gears unlike before. The guages on it are great. I have only run the economy tune on it to and it seems to help mpg. It also seems to stay in 4cl mode more. I didn't feel any performance additions but I'm only running the 87 tune which probally doesn't add but a couple horses. The diablo predator is good handheld because you can modify the injector slope but they don't have any transmission adjustments. I've heard custom tunes are great since they remove TM but I don't really need TM gone.

When I sold my Edge, I had to wait about 3 weeks before I got my custom tune. When I went back to stock, my MPG's actually went UP. I was running the extreme tune with 91 octane.

The Edge did NOTHING for my mileage compared to stock. And the extreme tune got better mileage than the economy tune, both running 91 octane.
