Door Lock Broken Already!

The door lock on the driver's side door just broke today. It works if I manually lock or unlock it, but the electronic switch to move the door lock into locked or unlocked position doesn't move it, neither does the remote. Well, it moves slightly, but not all the way down or up.

 

Any ideas? Hard to fix? Should I bring it into the dealer 30 minutes away, or should I attempt to fix?

probably the actuator is busted. take it in for warranty since it involves tearing up your door panel (unless you have the time and tools)

If you don't go in for warranty GM has no track record of the problems, always have the warranty done and save your money & time.
