Rollerman

Roller skates were invented in 1760. And the concept hasn’t changed much since then. Put the wheels inline, and you’ve got Rollerblades. Stick them to a board, and you’ve got skateboarding. That’s pretty much it.

Meet French designer Jean-Yves Blondeau. He’s invented the Buggy Rollin’ suit. It’s a suit that attaches wheels to every part of the body. All the major joints, chest and back become roller skates. This allows one to travel in almost any position.

This strange contraption has earned Blondeau the name Rollerman.

But Blondeau isn’t satisfied cruising sidewalks. He takes his suit to the extreme. He’s recorded a top speed of nearly 70 mph. He puts that speed to use in this video. You’ll see him rocket down a twisting road in the Swiss Alps.

This is not as good of movie but is in Pallos Verde but does have some very closeup views.

WOW... that looks like fun. I love the way he drifts through the corners. I'd do it!

That looks friggin wild! The sense of speed being that close to the pavement would be incredible.

That was cool, I like when he passed the motorbike. Also chirping the tires around the corners.

Um, I think that was the filming vehicle.:cheers:

It would certainly be rush, but you'd need a really good road to do that on. The thought of not seeing and hitting a pothole is nasty. Any sort of debris or road markers (like centre line reflectors) would cause 'issues'. But then if you came across a deer in the road you could go right under it.

That would be awesome but totally impossible in Louisiana because every road is built for a horse and carriage excluding interstate 10.

That's one of those things that you just can't think about what might go wrong... if you did, you'd never do it. Whata blast!

That's funny. We used to call IH10 "I-Terrible" because of the ocncrete sections through LA.

That would definately be a rush. I wonder what the oncoming traffic thought. I would do it. My back's already f'ed up, so what could go wrong?
