Anyone Have, Or Seen The Gm Folding Hard Tonneau Cover?

They have two versions, one with vinyl and one with some sort of premium “ragtop” material. I just ordered one, but will not be able to see it for about three weeks. I’d be real interested in seeing some pictures of one and any comments from folks who have actually seen them. If it isn’t what I hope it is, I’ll cancel the order.

Do you have a part # for the one you're wanting to see?

That's the one....

The pic's I've been able to find on the web don't show much.

Yeah - I did some searches and didn't find much either. With the part # listed, maybe someone can verify they have the same one and take pictures of their's.

I just got mine and put it on Yesterday. Sorry no pics right now.

I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping for something more like the Fold-A-Cover. The new hard folding top looks like an Extang Trifecta, only it has solid panels under the tarp.

How funny! I just got mine delivered yesterday. It came damaged though, so I didn’t install it. Some idiot ran a fork lift through the box, took the time to tape over the holes in the box and send it to me anyway….and charged me $150 for freight!!!

I’m not all that impressed with it either. I don’t think I’ll have them send me another one. The “premium” cover is some sort of canvas cloth. I think it might become a nighmare to keep clean and will most likely fade over time. Not all that impressed with how it folds either.

Mine came with a broken "buckle" that's used to strap the top down while driving with it folded open. I'm working with a friend at a dealership to get a new piece.

What kind of bedcaps are those if you don't mind me asking? Where did you get them...did they come with the bed cover?

The dealer ordered me another cover and it started to snow. I put the damaged cover on so I wouldn’t have to deal with snow/ice in the bed all winter. The cover is in fact canvas. Just like the old RS model cars. Snow doesn’t push off of it very easily, but I suppose it does give the cover more of a ‘premium’ look.

Here’s a couple pictures of the cover and truck. I’m not real happy with the spray in liner. Whoever sprayed it decided to get creative and rolled it over the rails too far. Not real sure what I’m going to do about that. I can’t believe someone would get creative with this stuff……..

For '06 models, GM hard folding cover was basically the fold-a-cover, which has aluminum skin on the panels. I have the improved version of the fold-a-cover, which is the advance cover. I would definitely not like a canvas type construction. It is too flimsy and would very like fade fast here in Florida sun. I know my jet ski fabric cover did.

Nice Truck, house, and mtn in the background where ever you are located.

You would think they could match the cover to the contours of the bed better.

Sorry, I don't get on this forum much.....

The rail covers are GM part #17802473, they stick on with 3m and they match the styling and texture of the tailgate protector.

I also found through getting my broken cover piece replaced that the new '07+ GM hard folding cover is an Advantage Hard Hat cover.
