Ratcheting Wrenches, Are There Any Other Mfgs With This Style?

I've got a little bit of monies and I was thinking about filling out my tools. I don't have any ratcheting wrenches and missed out on the Gearwrench sales that Sears had last month. I ran across these at Harbor Freight the other day. The times in the past where it would have been easier to use this type short, flex, without box end to get caught on harness' haven't been a great number of times, but enough to want this style wrench. While Harbor Freight offers lifetime, and these in particular do look/feel of similar quality to Craftsman, I don't want a wrench that's going to break if I need to use it. Does anyone know if any other manufacturer have this style? Matco? Snap-on????

And if anyone has used this style, what are your impressions of this type of wrench?

Matco and Snap-On both carry them. Craftsman probably does too.

I've got a couple of sets of the Cross-Force (or whatever they're called) Craftsmans...They're lifesavers.

There is a Harbor Freight (HF) down the street from me. I've been buying something almost every week. A bunch of stuff is always on sale of a coupon for 15% off. And those great sidewalk sales.

Anyway, I buy stuff there KNOWING that it is not the Snap-On or Craftsman quality. But then I paid less about 75% less. If I was making a living with my tools, no HF would be in the tool box. I don't really care about the lifetime warranty. BIC lighters have a lifetime warranty.

I just bought an 8" bench grinder rated at 3/4HP for $33.99 on sale.

Anyway, again, I've pretty much have quit buying any more "neat" or "kewl" hand tools. I have a fair amount of tools already. I usually have enough to get by for that one special application.

Only bought one thing at Harbor Freight. Was a giant vice that I bought to press out u-joints. Didn't even get one halfway out, and the POS pretty much exploded. The whole thing was held together by one bolt inside, and the bolt stripped the threads in the hole. The bolt was fine, but the threaded hole in the vice itself just let go. Brought it back, and I'll never buy anything else there.

You get what you pay for, and I like to use my tools more than once.

I used to work in the tool department at sears and all my tools are craftsman and a lot of dewalt stuff... I have had a lot of other tools like Gearwrench and snapon... But with the snapon tools I would have to Nextel beep them and wait for the truck to come by... When I need a tool I want it now... Gearwrench was the same way but slower in the mail...

I think craftsman has what you want and I would pay the extra money for!!! But thats my 32k cents...

I'll buy Harbor Freight or Steve's Wholesale (pretty much the same thing around here) when I know I'm only going to need it once...Or for stuff like my parts washer. It's job is to pretty much sit there and hold solvent...So no biggie to buy the cheap one.

As for the topic of the thread, the Sears ad in today's paper here in OKC has some double-ended Craftsman ratcheting wrenches for like $25.
