I have a 2007 NBS Silverado Z71 4X4 Crew in which the radio is throwing me a "Check CD" error when I try to play a CD (I have a 6 CD disc changer). It will not eject but will play the radio. I plan on taking it to the dealer but would like some idea what is going on before I do.Thanks!

On something that new and under warranty, I'd let them deal with it. Are there any CDs in it?

I plan on taking it to the dealer but I have been burned by a dealer a year ago and am a little gun shy. Long story short, GM ended up paying me a few thousand to get me out of my old pickup into my current one due to one of their screw-ups.

Can you supply your vin? I thought there was a reflash for this issue, it might be for another model because I can't find it. If I have your vin I can look up specific calibrations for your vehicle.

Darn it, I don't have my VIN handy. I scanned the TSBs and didn't find a thing. Some people say it may be due to using burnt CDs but i have been using burnt CDs all year long without issue. TOp it off, they won't eject so i would think something else is wrong.

Well... shit happens but they should be able to handle a radio screwup. If not, goto a different dealer. I've been dealing with GM dealers for 25 years and have had really good relations with them.

Yea I did too but I don't see anything. I know I have done a reflash for a check cd and no eject but I can't remember what on. When you can just post it and I'll check the cal's to see if it applies for your truck.
