2003 Yukon Brake Control

I have a 2003 Yukon. Planing a camping trip this weeked with our trailer. Hooked up the brake control and when I pluged in the trailer to the Yukon, Had the Reduced Enigine Power, Traction control and check engine light come on. Unpluged the trailer and was fine. I have towed my BBQ a million times and never had this problem. Why would I get this message when I plug in the toy hauler?

Are you 100% sure that the toy hauler is wired the same? Maybe something that us supposed to be power is ground or vice versa.

Is everything wired properly? Double check all of the wires on the controller side and make sure they are correctly attached to the harness connector under the dash.

Outside of the warning messages, do the lights on the trailer work properly? Turn signals, brake lights, and tail lights all light up as they should? Do the trailer brakes work when you apply the trailer brakes with the controller?

What controller are you using?

I checked the trialer and its wired correctly. Buddy brought the trailer to the house and everything worked fine. I have a Hopkins Control. The only wire I had to connect was the red in the spot for the year my Yukon was built. I need to check the ground on the trailer. The trailer connector a little coroaded.
