Rough Country: No Response?

I am persueing a 3" lift for my new Denali. I called Rough Country to discuss the Denali/AWD question. I spoke with a guy named Rusty. He didn't have the answers to the basic questions, but told me he would check with someone about it. I followed up with an email. Several days went by with no response. So I wrote again, same guy, same question. Now, again, after several days there still has been no response.

So I have to wonder, first about this guy, but also about the product. Perhaps there is some issue with the product which they are reluctant to discuss, or perhaps this salesman (I hope he isn't tech) just doesn't answer emails.

I have read other posts here on R C. Some have said they have great customer support. Others have claimed the product is OK, but there have been also a few with a discenting voice. So as for me, RC is now on hold, moved to second place. Off to discuss lift kits of a more involved nature with other companies.

You will be glad that you did. My "Junk" Country lift lasted about 4 months before the ball joints started going out. IMO, spend the money on a good quality suspension lift now, and avoid problems later.

Well, that is definately a concern with me right now. Most of the positive things you read about Rough Country are from newly installed owners. Anyone out there had the R.C. 3" lift on for any length of time? I was wondering, of course, if the kit would go the distance the same as OEM. That's what I expect. Anything less is not properly engineered or improperly manufactured IMHO.

Additionally communication is very important to me. RC currently has earned a flat zero for not having the time to answer my emails. Had a similiar problem with my builder of my house at one point. I stopped the whole project several times until we ironed out our differences and I felt he had a clear understanding of what I wanted.

Right now I have an email out to CST. I'm waiting to see 1. If they answer, and 2. If their kit works with the AWD Denali. I'll post what they do or do not do.

i have also e-maild RC about their 3 inch lift for the 2008 sierra, to see if they have ironed out some complaints i have read on here about their kit. That was like 3 weeks ago and a few e-mails and no response.. i will not being buying from them .....

I think i will be doing a leveling kit for now then save up for a BDS 6 inch... or comparible company.... there was a posting on here somewhere where a guy posted a link for a 6 inch lift for like 1200 bucks?? anyone recall this ?? it was hijaked in another thread... i just wanted to know if he got it and how it compares to the better brands out there..

Once the Denali models are lifted and larger tires are added, you will have problems with the front differential and CV shafts. The truck is made to run stock tires only. The only way around this is to convert the Denali to a standard 4x4 which can be done. Change out the transfer case and add a floor shifter. I have seen it done. Works nice. If a kit is added with the AWD - expect about 10-12k miles before you have problems.

The only way around this is to convert the Denali to a standard 4x4 which can be done. Change out the transfer case and add a floor shifter. I have seen it done. Works nice. If a kit is added with the AWD - expect about 10-12k miles before you have problems.

Bummer, cuz this is an old thread and he ended up with a 6" Superlift.

The truck looks nice. Keep and eye on your CV's and the front diff.
