Its a shame its got to go its a sweet truck.. Any chance you got enough photos to make a build thread of the supercharger install??

I don't have any pics of the install but it really wasn't that hard. One trick though is to ditch the whipple tuner and get a custom tune. I had Nelson performance do my tune what a change. One of the Whipple techs actually told me to do it when I started having problems with their setup. Thanks on the truck I will really miss it but bigger and badder is a problem I need to deal with. I am hoping to have around 600 horse on the blazer.

hey can i ask a question? do you run the whipple boost-a-pump on that rig? or an after market fuel pump? I`m not sure what do do on my truck...kinda thinking a in-tank pump would be cleaner... thanks!

I learned the hard way on this one it is a better idea to just get a bigger intank pump. Check with Nelson performance you can get a new Walbro pump for I think 120.00 and all the hardware to install it. I did the inline pump and 1 month later my stocker let go. I don't know if this is true or not but I was told the inline pump put more stress on the old stocker. So basically I cut my fuel lines and wired a extra pump and a month later put a new bigger in tank pump and got rid of the extra pump.

You do have to mod it a little to make it fit but it really was pretty simple. As far as the pump you want the in tank pump and all you will need to do is figure out how much fuel you need. They make pumps for about any volume you need I would call or email Allen at Nelson Performance tell him your mods and he will point you in the right direction. What mods do you have or plan on?

I haven`t done anything internally to my engine, although would like to get a lumpier cam and stiffer springs + install full roller rockers, but i was just gonna slap the unit on and see how it worked before doing this. I have full length headers and 4" exhaust, i have an electric water pump and fans, bosch injectors, (22lb, and intend to get 42lb with supercharger on) oversize throttle body. i`m ditching the whipple injector assy and module/computer, would like to replace my original pump, (is 11 years old, but running strong, would be safe to replace) I`m currently with WESTERS for my tuning and they have also done this setup before, I only intend to run 5-6 psi boost on my internally stock engine, i will run pyros as my headers have acceptable fittings...I plan to slowly get her peiced together over the winter and have the setup ready to install in the spring.

Should be fun, I have heard big blocks work good with stock internals up to 10lbs of boost. The thing I would worry about is the trans if you have high mileage on it. I would definently put a new pump in. Yeah the roller would be nice to. You really are going to have to let me know how the big block likes the charger. I have a pretty built 454 that I would like to dump in the blazer when I get it. It has a steel crank from a 427, a bigger cam, proted heads, a air gap intake, 750 carb, I yanked it from my 79 Blazer before I sold it. It would be fun to put a charger and some efi on this.
