Removing Dashboard

I've got a 95 gmc k1500 and the passenger side door light switch is broke. I've already replaced the driver's switch by reaching up from under the dash, but i can't do that on the passenger side because the glove box and blower motor are in the way.

 

How does the dash come off? Or better yet, how do you replace this switch. I have a haynes manual, but that was absolutely no help.

I replaced mine by removing the glove box, made it a little eaiser.

i did it by using a needle nose and just breaking the old one out.

 

it came out in 30 peices but since it was junk anyways i didnt care. and the new one slides in from the outside. a 2 min job

oh and the wires are long enough that you can pull it outside the dash about 3 in so you can still unplug the old on and put the new one back in
